Message of Condolence

It is with profound sadness that we announce the demise of Mr B L R De Silva in Melbourn, Australia. He was a former Secretary and long-standing executive committee member of Sri Lanka Badminton during the 1970’s and 1980’s. He was a strict disciplinarian and a person who advocated good governance and transparency at SLBA and was a role model to the younger generation. His most significant contribution was the groundwork done to secure the land from the Ministry of Sports on which the SLB Headquarters and Stadium stands today. Our sympathies go out to his son Niranjan at this time of grief. Sri Lanka Badminton
